Grant and funding support · Austin, Texas

Build the evidence before the application.

Wexumi offers industrial grant support to industrial companies in the United States. We frame the project and coordinate its evidence so the application describes work your team can actually deliver.

Price basis: Program fit, application stage, evidence assembly, and coordination load. Scope is agreed after a conversation. This is inquiry-only advisory work, not a funding offer or an award guarantee.

Discuss a project
Thermal test rig with probes on an industrial sample
A test supports only the claims its conditions can justify. Illustrative industrial testing, not a Wexumi laboratory or a funded client project.

State what the proposed research must find out before drafting the application. Assign that question to a work package and name its delivery owner. If the team cannot do that yet, start with project framing rather than application writing.

We help industrial teams connect the operating problem to the proposed research or demonstration. That means distinguishing what the process already does from what remains untested. A fabricated sample that survives a controlled thermal test is useful evidence. It does not establish performance through repeated production cycles or prove that a proposed manufacturing method is economical.

The output is a work-package and evidence map, supported by the application coordination agreed in scope. It shows where each claim comes from and who must supply missing material. The map also exposes work that does not belong in the proposed program, so the project does not quietly grow to satisfy the wording of a call.

Grant and non-dilutive funding support specification
Starting pointA proposed industrial project, with or without a funding program already identified.
Core deliverableA project frame, work-package structure and evidence map tied to the relevant application requirements.
Coordination scopeAgreed support with technical contributors, partner inputs and review versions. Submission responsibility is confirmed separately.
Price basisProgram fit, application stage, evidence assembly, and coordination load.
Decision authorityThe funding body determines eligibility and awards. The applicant authorizes the submission and accepts any award terms.

Grant-readiness evidence map

Trace each claim to something reviewable.

The evidence map is a working document, not a readiness score. A gap needs an owner and a resolution, not a more confident adjective.

From claim to source

Illustrative structure · no award implied

Operating need
State the process limitation and identify its evidence. A maintenance record, scrap classification or observed failure can establish a need, but its collection conditions matter. Separate a measured baseline from an estimate supplied in an interview.
Technical uncertainty
Explain what the proposed work must find out. “Build a prototype” is an activity, not the uncertainty. Identify which property, interface or operating condition could prevent the intended outcome and what evidence would resolve it.
Work package
Connect an activity to a question and a reviewable output. Material selection could produce a justified shortlist; a test package could produce results against an agreed method. Avoid a package whose only output is another general progress report.
Resource basis
Link the proposed effort to the work. Distinguish internal time from external test capacity and equipment use. The applicant and its financial advisors confirm cost treatment against the actual program rules; a technical narrative is not accounting approval.
Partner contribution
Record the contribution a partner has actually agreed to make. Access to a test frame is different from a letter expressing interest. Confirm the proposed evidence, responsible contact and any unresolved permissions before presenting the contribution as committed.
Review and authority
Identify who approves the technical claims and who can authorize the applicant's commitments. Maintain a clear review version so a changed test scope does not leave an old budget or partner statement attached to the final submission.

The requirements of the actual funding program take precedence over this working structure. No program, deadline, eligibility decision or award value is advertised here.

Evidence assembly

A test result needs its conditions.

Suppose a team has tested a coated metal coupon. The application should distinguish the substrate from the coating, state how the sample was prepared and identify the exposure used. A peak temperature without an exposure duration cannot carry the same claim as a repeatable test under a defined thermal cycle.

We organize the available evidence around the proposed work. That can reveal a modest missing check with a large effect on the application: whether the sample represents the intended production material, whether the instrument output is traceable to a test or whether a partner has permission to share the result.

Non-dilutive funding support for manufacturing also involves a practical limit. A new experiment is new work. If the application requires evidence that does not exist, we identify the gap and discuss whether to scope that work, narrow the claim or defer the application. We do not write the result in advance.

Keep measured and proposed work separate. Label an expected result as an expectation. Label a simulation as a simulation. A reviewer should not have to infer that a production claim comes from a bench-scale observation.

Build work packages that can be reviewed

Each package should have a bounded question and an output another contributor can use. If the next activity depends on a material passing a test, the handoff needs a decision rule, not merely a target completion date. That dependency belongs in the project plan as well as the narrative.

We also look for orphan activities: useful-sounding tasks that do not support a stated uncertainty or program objective. Removing them can make the proposed project easier to explain and easier to deliver. It does not make an award more certain.

Manual readiness review

Check the project before chasing the deadline.

Read these with the project owner. This is a preparation checklist, not an automated eligibility determination. A program's current published rules and the funding body's decisions control.

  • The project question is specific.

You can state what remains uncertain and why resolving it matters to the industrial process. A desire to buy equipment does not, by itself, define an R&D project.

  • The program fit has been checked at the source.

The applicant can identify the current call and the requirements relevant to its proposed work. Assumptions about eligible activities or project timing remain open until checked.

  • Evidence has a usable source.

Technical claims point to records the applicant can lawfully use. Data ownership and permissions are resolved before confidential partner material enters an application draft.

  • Delivery responsibility is assigned.

The organization knows who owns each work package and who can confirm capacity. A role waiting to be filled is a project dependency, not an available resource.

  • The review path fits the real deadline.

Partner approvals and the applicant's internal authorization fit inside the submission window. Leave time to reconcile changes across the narrative and supporting material.

Application support sequence

Agree the frame before coordinating the draft.

  1. 01

    Review the fit

At intake, compare the proposed work with the identified program and its current requirements. Decide whether a scoped readiness review is worthwhile before committing to drafting.

  2. 02

    Map the evidence

Before the main narrative, assign sources and gaps to the claims. Identify missing partner commitments or tests that could change the application route.

  3. 03

    Coordinate inputs

During preparation, connect work packages to the technical narrative and supporting contributions. Track revisions so the applicant reviews a consistent proposal.

  4. 04

    Hand over for approval

At the agreed review point, set out unresolved items and the submission responsibilities. The applicant approves its final statements; award decisions remain with the funder.

The scope may cover readiness only, an application stage or a broader coordination task. No turnaround time is promised without reviewing the work and the actual deadline.

A practical boundary

Funding should support the project, not invent it.

Industrial grant support is useful when the project has a credible operating purpose but its evidence and contributors need organizing. It can also establish that an application is premature. That is a valid result of a readiness review.

Is the deadline close? We first look at the missing evidence and the approval path. More writing hours cannot substitute for an absent partner commitment or a test that has not been performed. The scope may be limited to a focused review, or the recommendation may be to consider a later opportunity rather than rush an unsupported submission.

This service does not establish legal eligibility, give tax advice or guarantee non-dilutive funding. It is not a fit for applicants seeking invented results, promised awards or wording that disguises routine work as research. Any award carries its own terms, which the applicant must review before accepting.

If the project is still an undefined production issue, begin with industrial problem diagnosis. If an external capability is missing, technology and partner search can address the delivery gap. Industrial innovation strategy clarifies whether the proposed work should proceed at all; pilot implementation support defines the test boundary when the next step is a plant trial.

Scope a useful contribution

Put the project and the deadline on the same page.

Describe the proposed industrial work and its application stage. If a program is already identified, name it and give the published deadline in your inquiry. Do not send confidential technical records through the public form.

We use program fit, evidence assembly and coordination load to establish the price basis. The agreed scope states which material Wexumi prepares and which approvals remain with your team.

No funding application or advisory engagement is purchased on this site. Fees and responsibilities are confirmed separately. An inquiry creates no award entitlement or outcome warranty.
