Industrial R&D. Start with diagnosis.

Wexumi helps manufacturing and industrial teams turn a stoppage, untested technology, partner problem, or stalled pilot into a question someone can test.

Discuss a project

Inquiry-only work for industrial companies in the United States. Scope and price basis are set after the first conversation.

The operating stance

Start with the stoppage, not the technology.

Most weak innovation work begins with a fashionable tool and searches backward for a use. We begin with the failure mode: what stopped, under which conditions, how often, and what evidence already exists.

The operating detail is the work. Wexumi turns it into a bounded technical question and a plan for gathering the evidence needed to answer it. Someone on the operating team must own the next decision; a report cannot do that job.

If the evidence is weak, the recommendation says so.

The physical bottleneck is evidence. It is not yet a diagnosis.

From observation to decision

The work changes shape as the evidence improves.

A production symptom may call for diagnosis. A bounded question may call for technical scouting. A credible route may need a pilot owner and a date for review. The service follows the decision, rather than forcing every situation into the same package.

01 / DIAGNOSIS

Turn the symptom into a failure-mode brief.

We separate what the line is doing from what people think is causing it. That means looking at operating conditions, maintenance records, component wear, process constraints, and the cost of learning the wrong thing.

Useful output
A manufacturing process diagnosis with a short list of measurable technical questions.

02 / SEARCH

Compare routes before a vendor list grows.

Technology scouting starts from the brief. We search across relevant methods, inspect the evidence behind claims, and speak with potential technical partners where a conversation can answer a real fit question. A partner list is not a partnership.

Useful output
A scored fit brief showing technical fit, integration burden, evidence gaps, and the next conversation.

03 / DECISION

Give a test, owner, and stop condition a place.

Innovation strategy is useful only when someone can act on it. We put the decision window, dependencies, internal owner, evidence threshold, and reason to stop where the operating team can use them. For a pilot, that becomes a gate rather than a promise.

Useful output
A decision route that can move toward a pilot, funding application, partner conversation, or a clear stop.

Engagement sequence

Four moves. One next decision.

The exact scope changes with the problem, available evidence, and access to the operating team. The discipline does not.

  1. 01

    Frame the question

Set the operating boundary and name the evidence that matters.

  2. 02

    Find the route

Search technology, partners, strategy options, or funding fit against the brief.

  3. 03

    Test the fit

Make the smallest useful test visible, with its owner and practical constraints.

  4. 04

    Make the decision

Record what happens next, what must be true, and when to stop.

This sequence is a working method, not a delivery guarantee. A conversation sets the actual scope.

Inquiry-only industrial R&D support

Bring the question that has resisted a quick answer.

Wexumi supports industrial diagnosis, technology search, industrial innovation strategy, grant support, and pilot implementation support for companies in the United States.

Scope and price basis depend on the agreed discovery scope, evidence access, operating questions, search breadth, or pilot boundary. No binding quote is presented here.

Industrial innovation strategy

A technology can work and still have no route into production. Wexumi builds a decision memo around the investment question, with an internal owner and explicit stop conditions. It records dependencies so a promising trial does not quietly become an unsupported rollout.

The scope follows the decision boundary and the interviews needed to resolve it. A strategy deck without an actionable next decision is not the deliverable.

Industrial grant support

Grant language follows the work. Wexumi helps define development uncertainty, assemble the evidence behind the project and coordinate application material. Work packages must describe work the team can actually undertake, not a project invented to match a funding notice.

Non-dilutive funding support starts with a program-fit review. Eligibility and deadlines come from the program; neither an application nor a partner conversation guarantees an award. Scope depends on application stage and the evidence still needed.

A quick fit check

Choose the situation closest to the work on your floor.

The result is a route for the next conversation, not an eligibility decision or a delivery promise. “30 days” is an input band, not a promised delivery time.

The interactive checker loads with this page. If it is unavailable, use the decision rules below to choose a service or ask Wexumi about the fit.

Four inputs shape the recommendation.

Suggested starting point

Start with diagnosis

An unclear issue is the first signal. Define the failure mode before searching for a technology.

Open diagnosis

The checker does not assess funding eligibility, forecast savings, or guarantee implementation.

Read the decision logic
  1. An unclear issue recommends diagnosis.
  2. A pilot underway recommends a pilot gate only with a named or weekly available owner. Otherwise it returns to diagnosis.
  3. A tested result with a window under 30 days recommends a pilot gate.
  4. A known issue with anecdotal evidence recommends strategy only with a named owner and a window of 30–90 days or over 90 days.
  5. A candidate technology without an owner recommends technology search. With an owner, it recommends strategy.
  6. Other known issues with operating data or tested results recommend technology search.

The first matching rule wins. A named owner and an owner available weekly both count as assigned. Candidate technologies follow the owner rule even with anecdotal evidence unless an earlier rule applies.
